“You’re a bad mom.” 💔
When your child is struggling, it can feel like the world is judging you instead of supporting you.
If you’ve felt judged, overwhelmed, or alone while trying to support your child, AFN is here to walk with you.
We want parents and caregivers to know this clearly:
➡️ You are not a bad parent.
➡️ You are not alone.
➡️ And support is available.

When a child is struggling, so much attention goes toward making sure they are safe, supported, and cared for.
But parents and caregivers need care too.
At Allegheny Family Network, we believe parents should not be left alone while they are trying to hold everything together for their family.
AFN is here to listen, support, connect, and walk alongside families with lived experience and real understanding.

We know getting to a support group can already feel like a big step
And for many parents, the question is, “But what do I do with my kids?”
At AFN support groups, child watch is available so you can take that step without that being the thing that stops you.
You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
Bring your kids. Take a breath. Sit with people who understand. ❤️

Sometimes one honest moment can change everything.
When a dad broke down at Western Psychiatric Hospital one night, it revealed something so many parents are carrying quietly: the weight of trying to stay strong while feeling completely overwhelmed.
That moment helped shape what Allegheny Family Network continues to create today - safe spaces where parents and caregivers can be heard, supported, and reminded they are not alone.
You don’t have to carry it by yourself. Allegheny Family Network supports families.

There is nothing quite like seeing the joy these cakes and cupcakes bring. 💜
When Juno saw the cupcakes made just for her, she pointed and said, "ME!!!" For a child who is nonverbal and has been making small strides in speaking, it was a moment her family will never forget.
Thank you to Cake4Kids of Greater Pittsburgh and everyone involved in making Juno's special day a little sweeter. These aren't just cupcakes. They're moments of celebration, recognition, and pure joy. 🎂🧁✨
