Ben a.k.a. Young Muscle has been a friend of ours for a bit now. He’s a terminal sweetheart and wicked producer with previous releases via Scuffed Recordings, Juke Bounce Werk, 3024, Out Of Sorts, N-Face, and Vief. Detroit’s resident UK Bass champion, Ben brings unpretentious joy to everything he’s involved in from his productions to his DJ work (most notably as a resident of like minded bass party Interference Detroit). We previously hosted him at a Good Room party we did back in 2023 and we also put out a mix of music Ben loved when he was 16 via our SORRYMIX series in 2022.

Looney Choon EP finds Young Muscle in rare form! Six tracks of wacked out UKG, bass, club, grime, techno, and everything in between featuring an acid remix from Catskill based producer/DJ and Earthlings Radical Audio head Headphones Girl ( ) as well as artwork from beloved graphic designer Jean Pierre Consuegra ( ) and a master by UKG legend Mike Millrain ( ). The tracks have already been rinsed at parties from San Francisco to London by DJs like The Carry Nation, Farsight, Sam PV, Mx. Blaire, and Marco Weibel 🎵✌️

The title track is out now and the whole thing is out on 4/16 💨

The Sorry Records Bossa Residency chugs along... Sunday May 3rd we welcome long lost friend and resident of the city of Chicago mr. Tony G himself for a very special 📯

We’re also thrilled to have Philadelphia via Chicago via the Pacific Northwest journey-folks Morpheme join us for their Bossa debut. We first came across Nishkosheh ( ) when they played at Hemlock Nights at Honcho Campout a few years back. We were instantly charmed by their excursions through the lower end of the BPM spectrum, synthesizing sounds equally sludgy and euphoric into something well within the Sorry Records comfort zone. Tony’s move to Chicago strengthened their ties and introduced WAV FUZZ ( ), Morpheme’s other half, a tall drink of water with a vintage mixing board and a penchant for laying fuzzy guitars over electronic beats. Their inevitable collaboration finally landed in the summer of 2024, where Tony was lucky enough to witness their big-bang first performance at a campout weekender outside of Chicago. The sounds he heard that day would become Morpheme’s first record, Collected Pieces, a timeless slab of 80s inspired weirdo pop goodness out now on EYMS. As DJs, they’re equal parts menacing and silly, very much in our wheelhouse, and we can’t wait to have them at Bossa.

Label founder / The Lot Radio resident Nick Boyd will be rolling the ball down the hill on opening duties and Tony G himself will be heading up closing hours. Party runs 10pm to 4am and is free before 11pm, $10 after.

What a treat to have Uncle Kamal put together a beautiful collection of music from the one of our favorite musical decades - the 1980s !
