http://power-recovery.com More than 23 million Americans suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction, but only 11% receive treatment.

Women are the fastest-growing segment of substance users in the United States, with an estimated 2.7 million women abusing drugs or alcohol. Most women (66-90%) in treatment report histories of trauma, which may include domestic violence, early childhood sexual assault, physical abuse or neglect, loss of a child, or other traumatic experiences. Our staff is trained to understand the impact of trauma on recovery and our care reflects that understanding.

Gratitude is a component of recovery โ€“ and one of the ways POWER House residents demonstrate theirs is by helping us write thank-you notes to donors and volunteers. Thank you, House residents, for connecting with the people who help make POWER possible.

Taking a few moments each day to reflect on what you're grateful for can help shift your focus from challenges to strengths. Whether it's a supportive friend, a safe place to live, a recovery milestone, or simply a good cup of coffee, gratitude can improve your outlook and strengthen your recovery journey.

Try writing down three things you're grateful for today. Small moments of appreciation can make a big difference.

Recovery grows when we focus on progress, hope, and the positive things in our lives.

POWER was proud to be at the Hazelwood Library for a community pop-up event, sharing information about the services and support available through our programs.

Connecting with community members and increasing awareness about recovery resources is an important part of our mission. We are grateful for opportunities like this to meet people where they are, answer questions, and let individuals and families know that help, hope, and healing are available.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about POWER and the life-changing work happening every day across our programs.

Last week, our team enjoyed a fantastic Benefits Fair filled with valuable information, wellness perks, and plenty of fun!

Employees had the opportunity to learn more about their benefits, explore enrollment options, and meet with representatives to get their questions answered. We were excited to have EMPOWER on-site to assist with 401(k) enrollment and retirement planning, helping our staff invest in their futures.

The event also featured a massage therapist offering relaxing chair massages, along with giveaways, raffles, and prizes throughout the day!

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event a success. Supporting the well-being of our employees is just one of the many ways we invest in the incredible people who make POWER's mission possible every day.
