I am so excited to be doing a book signing at the Expedition Coal Mine in Beckley WV this Saturday!
The Exhibition Coal Mine is pleased to annnouce a very special guest will be with us for our West Virgnia Day celebration.

Author/Illustrator David J. Hardie !!! He will be selling his books and other merchandise from 10:00 - 4:00 at the Mine.

David’s first book “Appalachian Cryptids and Creatures” has sold thousands of copies in West Virginia and beyond leading to the existence of the brand new book Mothman: An Illustrated History which came out in the beginning of June (he is bringing copies to WV Day).

Having spent over 20 years as a professional speaker with a BIG personality David loves telling stories with a big booming voice and Appalachian flair. Owning a legendary beard that inspires a sense of awe and wonder, David prides himself on his ability to tell enthralling stories that captivate and inspire audiences of all ages. Thus he David spends his time traveling the world speaking at schools and festivals about Mothman, Braxxie, the Grafton Monster and Cryptid Culture in general.

We had a great day signin’ books and slingin’ shirts at graftonmonsterfest today! Great festival, there was a good flow all day! Trent, the man in the first picture recounted a tale of his Mothman sighting in 1969 near Morgantown in the middle of a snowstorm!!! I LOVE hearing your stories!!!! Trent bought my new book and he’s going to fact check me! I got to see an awesome supporter of my page, Josh Parker as well!!!!

Julia who is 9, bought my book at a show last year (her Mom said she read it again and again)! She loves cryptids and this school year she wrote and illustrated her very own Bigfoot book that she wanted to give me as a gift!

She even signed it for me!!!

I was tearing up as I gave her a high five and encouraged her to keep making books!!!!
