Got to run around with one of my best friends shooting a doc on — his legacy, his incredible family, and his relentless drive to earn everything he’s got. A story about grit, loss, and the fight to keep moving forward.

Hard to put this last week into words. I love the opportunities that reset my perspective — and Ecuador was exactly that. Overlooking Cotopaxi and its surrounding city, spending time with one of the most genuine families I’ve ever met, and filming it all with two of my greatest friends and fellow filmmakers. I’m so grateful when I get to use my passion to help tell someone’s story, and this was one of those experiences that reminds me what truly matters—good people, family, new adventures, and slowing down long enough to enjoy it all. Hope to come back to this magical place again.

I love when a face stops you, and you just have to ask for a photo — makes you wonder what storms they’ve stood in, what the highlights of their legacy could be. In the split second it took to take this photo, I knew this man holds a library of stories I’ll never read… mostly because he only speaks Spanish, but his face says more than words ever could.

I lift things up and put things down.

I used to think history was so boring — Call me old, but I’m to that point in life where it completely fascinates me to the point I can’t stop thinking about how this photo and this spot made me FEEL. We were doing a walk through before we filmed on the USS New Jersey, (active battleship during the Vietnam war), and seeing this table I could only wonder what wild events happened here and nearby in the canon room and man the feels it gave me have lingered ever since.

Driving into a new season like…..

Grateful to be back on the road doing what I love — channeling my inner Ace Ventura. Here’s to another wild ride of a season, more memories, madness and miles.
