In Honor of International Overdose Awareness Day yesterday, Rashod and Bradley joined forces with Allegheny County Health Department.

Together, they advocated for Harm Reduction and honored the lives lost and affected by overdose.

Yesterday, Project Silk proudly took part in Free Store 15104's Harm Reduction Clinic!

In collaboration with the Allegheny County Health Department and their Overdose Prevention Pop-up, Bradley, Chas, and Rashod engaged with the community. Together, they provided essential insights into our drop-in center and a number of vital resources.

Yesterday we attended the annual Barrel and Flow Fest!

Black breweries, artists, and small businesses was truly amazing!

Yesterday Project Silk was back in the community participating in a pop-up resource fair hosted by Allegheny Elks Lodge #339! It was a HOT day, but Community Health Specialist Rashod was lucky to find some shade. 😎

We are so excited to announce we will be taking part in this year's Barrel and Flow Fest on August 12th at 3 Crossings in the Strip District!

An amazing opportunity to support Black arts and artists, and ranked #3 Brew Fest in America, this Fest has it all - community organizations, live art, a crafters market, live music, food, and brews from across the country!

HIV testing for women of color is one of the many priorities of Project Silk. In 2021, women made up 18% of the new HIV diagnoses in the US, of that 18%, more than half were black women.

Project Silk is a safe space for all. It is a place to find community, to heal, and to find peace.

Taking an HIV test is taking care of you! HIV testing is fast, free, and confidential! There are many ways to get tested for HIV. This , choose a test and choose to take care of YOU.

Project Silk offers a safe space for young LGBTQ+ people of color For a young LGBTQ+ person of color, life can be difficult to navigate. That's where Project Silk in downtown Pittsburgh comes in.
