Scenes from Penn Ave in Garfield, where after only months of work, fresh concrete street surfaces can be seen and curbs are set. The Penn Ave Phase II Reconstruction project consists of full-depth reconstruction of all street infrastructure in the project area, including the street, curb sidewalk, ADA ramps, and traffic signals, as well as other mobility and safety improvements. Weekly Roundup: We've been around 'tahn fixing things in your neighborhood! Check out what our team's done this week: Our Traffic Team was out this week maintaining old/painting new crosswalks, doubling down on lights on Smithfield, and touching up some lines all over! Our streets and trails team hammered out some sidewalks (stay tuned for some transit stop improvements) and City contractors began installing foundations for automated red light enforcement at the first intersection.

Join us for a public meeting to learn about the Elizabeth Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project, today, 5:30-7:00pm. This meeting will take place at the Spartan Community Center 134 East Elizabeth Street, Pittsburgh, Pa 15207.

Traffic lanes will be shifted to one side of the Meadow Street Bridge that connects Highland Park and Larimer starting this week following a routine bridge inspection.

Pittsburgh Mobility and Infrastructure and Pittsburgh Department of Public Works will install jersey barriers to define the new lanes and two-way traffic will continue.

Last week, some of our staff were invited to visit the New Commercial St. Bridge currently in progress. This structure is a beautiful example of groundbreaking construction techniques and a fast-paced construction timeline. Thank you Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for having us!
