We sponsored a picnic table through Bedford County Chamber of Commerce (PA) Leadership class of 2026, that is located on the H&BT Rail Trail. This trail is part of the Rails to Trails of Bedford County. It has over 13 miles of trail that connects Tatesville to Warriors Path State Park near Saxton along the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River.

Please help us welcome our newest Service Coordinator, Lisa M., to Community LIFE! We have partnered with the Allegheny County Housing Authority to provide more service coordination in senior housing. Lisa will be working in Springdale Manor, Harrison Hi-Rise, West Deer Manor, and Jefferson Manor.

Her role will be instrumental in supporting our mission of providing compassionate, coordinated care to those we serve. We’re excited to have her join our team and contribute to the lives of our participants.

In honor of Flag Day, June 14th, our Mon Valley Center participants did a super cool bandana flag craft.

Lots of fun being had at our Logans Ferry Center! Crafts, music sessions and games are just the beginning of the things they do during the day.

Community LIFE recently met with lawmakers in Harrisburg to discuss the importance of the PACE model, known as LIFE in Pennsylvania, and its vital role in supporting older adults across the Commonwealth.

We are grateful to legislators and their staff for engaging in thoughtful, collaborative conversations about ensuring access to these services for aging Pennsylvanians. As demand continues to grow, it is essential that the LIFE model receives adequate and sustained funding to ensure that seniors can access comprehensive, community-based care that supports independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Yesterday, we celebrated 5 years serving seniors at our Somerset Center! We had a great turn out, got to show off the center with tours and get the word out about our services. A special thank you to KC O'Day and Fox 8 WWCP TV for the interview segment announcing our Open House.

Our Somerset Center participants helped plant flowers and put a fresh coat of paint on the flower boxes. They enjoyed themselves as well as the beautiful day!
