Can you wear sandals with a prosthetic leg? Yes, sometimes. But it's vital to get the right pair.

Factors such as heel height, strap security, sole stability, and prosthetic foot design can affect alignment, socket pressure, balance, and skin health. So, before making sandals your summer staple, check that they stay securely on your foot shell, match your usual shoe height, and feel stable after more than a few steps.

This case report found improved walking speed, walking energy cost, balance confidence, and perceived daily functioning compared with a stance-control KAFO, with the C-Brace showing additional gains in stair and hill descent.
