Babaghoria is Wendy Coester's side hobby of making different kinds of arts and crafts with all kinds of materials including natural, found and recycled.

I make beaded and wire wrapped jewelry (River Junk Jewelry), recycled paper beads, handmade cotton paper, Christmas cards, "quilted" Christmas ornaments, mosaics, tote bags & zipper pouches, baby taggies, candles, dreamcatchers, linoleum carving prints, Zentangles, photography, paintings, found object & mixed media art... And I'm always up to experiment!

Well, after a super-long crafting hiatus and a desire to distill my resources in the Creativity Bowl (my crafting room), my maker drought is over. These last couple of weeks I’ve started pulling out crafts I haven’t touched in years. My goal is to make as much as I can with those resources, then donate what is left after the limiting factor has been used up.
My son and I have made glycerin soap (with plastic critters inside) for his classmates for Christmas. My bestie and I made some bath bombs (somewhat successfully)with lavender flowers and essential oils. I made nearly 50 striped or ombre candles in glass. I’ve dot mandala-ed my way through more than 2 dozen glasses. I’m working my way towards completing 5 kitchen utensil/beaded wind chime danglers.
On the horizon is “quilted” Christmas ornaments and my “River Junk” pendants (although those will be ongoing creations).

Here's one a little more festive...

This is by far the best scarf I have ever made!! I am so excited about it! It's 9' long (a bit longer than I anticipated because the weft is thin) but a beauty! It's got great drape, it fluffs nicely around your neck, warm and so pretty! The warp is 10% mohair and the nubbie weft is 81% wool (the plain stuff in the weft is the same as the warp).

Next scarf. I'm totally digging in this yarn! 81% wool, 19% nylon, made in Italy (for the weft). Warp has 10% mohair.
