Thank you, everyone, for your lovely comments for a truly lovely man over the week as we all celebrated the life and legacy of our friend and neighbor Joe Negri together. It's clear that Joe brought all of you much joy to your lives through both his music and his love of music, so let's pledge to continue his mission and spread our own love of music in his memory. Thank you, Joe. We'll miss you. 🎸

For those of you who were unable to watch our tribute to Joe Negri on Thursday evening, we've uploaded the special onto our YouTube channel for all to enjoy. You can find that at wqed.tv/HomemadeMusician (case-senstive 🔠🔡).

Buggy (n) ˈbʌɡ.i - obstacles to avoid in the parking lot. 🛒

Meet Joe Wos: Legendary cartoonist, WQED’s artist in residence, and host of Cartoon Academy (youtube.com/). Being fluent in Pittsburghese comes naturally to Joe (he wrote The Three Little Pigsburghers entirely in the dialect!), so he’s here to teach all the transplants and visitors about why we can’t get enough of the Pittsburgh accent on Saturdays this summer. ☀️

Tune along every week and maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two! 😉

Harry Henninger Jr. (1945-2026) 🎢

Some sad news from our Kennywood family—former CEO Harry "Henny" Henninger Jr. recently passed away. He began working in the park (his family's business) as a teen in the men's locker room, climbing the ranks over the years to CEO before he retired in 2007.

We have a hunch that Harry might be a familiar face to several of you as he was featured in Rick Sebak's "Kennywood Memories" and "Great Old Amusement Parks."

Harry, thank you for all the fun summers over the years. Our thoughts and hearts are with your loved ones at this time. 🫶🎡
