Great day at Chatham University Interior Architecture Department with the IIDA vendor trade show. Thank you to everyone who came!

The Chatham IIDA Campus Center has organized an interior design Trade Show for Wednesday November 9th. This event, open to all IAR students, is a great opportunity to meet product representatives and view new and exciting products. Talk to your professors about extra credit opportunities for attending!

Chatham's IIDA student members joined design students from AiP and IUP to tour three architecture and design firms in downtown Pittsburgh. The tour, coordinated through the IIDA Pittsburgh City Center and Chatham Adjunct Faculty Suzanne Sekula featured Perkins Eastman Architects, Strada, and The Design Alliance Architects. Manufacture Representatives from DL Couch, Kimball Office, and Tandus Centiva also presented product information at each location, along with providing refreshments throughout the day. It was an excellent opportunity for students to see a working design office and network with professionals!

Students, both Chatham ASID Student Chapter members and non-members too, are invited to a FREE ASID PA West Membership Mixer on October 26 sponsored by The Tile Shop, Robinson Twp. location. RSVP by October 24. This is a great opportunity to network with local design professionals! You'll also hear from a tile rep with the latest product news.

A big thank you to John Hofmeister for guest speaking in our MIA design and behavior class this evening! John helped us understand universal design through the lens of an individual with vision impairments. We learned SO much!

On September 29, the Chatham ASID Student Chapter is having a meeting in CE129 (the conference room) to talk about what ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) is and the benefits of joining, as well as open officer positions! There will be food! Everyone is welcome!
