Looking for a simple sensory activity for toddlers?

🎨 Edible Finger Paint

This taste safe activity is easy to set up and perfect for toddlers who explore the world with their hands and mouths.

Materials:
β€’ Plain yogurt
β€’ Food coloring
β€’ Paper

Add spoonfuls of yogurt into a few small bowls.
Mix in a few drops of food coloring and invite your child to explore.

Toddlers can paint, squish, smear, and even taste safely.

Activities like this support:
β€’ sensory development
β€’ fine motor skills
β€’ creativity and curiosity
β€’ co regulation through shared play

Because the paint is edible, toddlers can explore freely without the constant β€œdon’t put that in your mouth.”

Great for home, toddler classrooms, or early learning programs.

Sometimes the simplest activities create the richest learning.

Messy exploration.
Safe connection.
Joyful learning.

Your heart changes depending on what your body is doing.
Feelings can change your heart too.

When we notice those changes, we can choose what our body needs next.

Noticing is the first step toward regulation.

Looking for a meaningful way to strengthen connection? 🀍
Try a Kind Message in a Bottle activity.
This simple practice helps children build prosocial skills like kindness, empathy, and encouragement while also deepening a sense of belonging within the family. When children give and receive affirming messages, they are learning how words impact others and how connection supports emotional well being.
How it works:
✨ Write a kind note or encouraging message to someone in your family.
✨ Roll the paper and secure it with string, yarn, tape, or simply fold it tightly.
✨ Place the note inside a small bottle or container and put the lid back on.
Then decide how you want to deliver the messages:
β€’ Create a treasure hunt around the house
β€’ Surprise one another at dinner
β€’ Leave a bottle to be discovered at bedtime
Moments like these support emotional safety, strengthen relationships, and reinforce the power of positive words.
Connection shapes regulation. Regulation shapes learning.
Wishing you a day filled with kindness and belonging. 😊
