Heads up, Oakland. The Commercial Street Bridge project is bringing a major detour to I-376 Parkway East this summer. Tentative closure July 10 – August 3, 2026.

Forbes Ave and Fifth Ave will carry the Interstate detour traffic. Plan now so the neighborhood doesn't catch you off guard.

Download the 511PA app and map your route before it matters.

A fascinating story of Oaklands longest running barbershop The Natural Choice πŸ’ˆ Before typical internet, before social media found his home with a $25 silver attendance clicker and a doorstep on Meyran Ave. Still running strong today.

Monday, Pittsburgh remembers.

The Annual Memorial Day Ceremony & Celebration returns to Soldiers & Sailors β€” 11am to 4pm, free, open to the public, rain or shine. Live music, family activities, a hand-sewn Civil War flag from 1861, patch blankets from a WWII Navy veteran, and the 3pm National Moment of Remembrance.

One of the most important buildings in Oakland, doing what it was built for.

Watch the feed Monday morning β€” we put something together for the day.
