This has saddened me over the last couple of days more than most people can realize.
DJ Mike D has been an inspiration to me since the beginning of my DJ career with his unmatched remixes. I remember discovering his āSomebody I Used to Knowā remix on YouTube and later connecting with him on Facebook. We used to chat back and forth (he had no idea who I wasājust a fan) while he was living in Hawaii at the time.
Fast forward he moved to Cleveland and we eventually met up. I took some photos of him in 2018, and he showed me his home studio and how he put together his mixes so flawlessly.
You didnāt have to invite me over to take pictures, show me your studio, or take time out of your busy schedule.
I wish we would have seen each other again before this.
You will be missed by many and your remixes will continue to spin.
Rest in Peace.
