Join us on May 14 at Emerald Evening as we celebrate Borough of Etna and the achievements of community leaders and residents in reshaping this community to one that is a model of resilience and sustainability. Among the Boroughβs many milestone achievements are the Etna Riverfront Park and the nearly completed Etna Center for Community, which we had the opportunity to tour earlier this week.
Opening this summer, this mixed-use redevelopment will provide the community with a library and indoor public space, and will include accessible design, a solar installation, and community courtyard with stormwater management features, fulfilling a number of Etnaβs EcoDistrict commitments.
The project is also a model for reclamation and recycling, with a materials diversion rate of 80.54% and more than 195,200 lbs diverted from landfill.
Thanks to additional project team members Michael Brothers Companies and Volpato Construction Corp who provided valuable insights into the project's construction waste diversion rates.
