3 days, 3 venues, 3 perfect celebrations ✨💜 Step into the world of Amber Hooke Music to see how she prepares for her solo violin gigs with Radiant Strings!
1-2 Weeks before the wedding:
✨ Get music requests from the couple and fill in the rest of the prelude/cocktail hour music setlist
✨ Make document with all info for the wedding (timing, location, parking info, planner/vendor team, couple’s names, etc.)
✨ Buy any new sheet music for special requests
✨ Make playlist with backing tracks on Spotify to play along with at the gig
✨ Make setlist on iPad with sheet music
✨ PRACTICE! Listen to original songs, then use the piano & violin to help with memorization & play with the track. Memorization gives Amber more room for improv / to make each song her own at the performances
✨ Send final review email to couples / planners the week of the wedding
Day of the wedding prep:
✨ Warm up & stretch
✨ Charge speaker & foot pedal
✨ Get dressed, do hair and makeup, etc.
✨ Pack up all equipment (violin, music stand, speaker, speaker stand, and a bag with all loose items like foot pedal, cable for amplification, backup speaker, violin stand, water bottle)
✨ Amber always leaves plenty of time so that she can stop and get a little snack or drink as a treat 😉
✨ Arrive at least 30 mins early to park, set up all equipment & sound check, then touch base with the planner / officiant to make sure all cues are in place
✨ Finally, perform for your wedding!
