Hey everyone! As a dad of seven, Rep. Eric Nelson knows that getting our kids to school safely is a BIG deal! 🚌 He took to the House floor to talk about this priority issue. If you believe school districts that provide safe school buses to their own students should do the same for charter school students, drop a comment below 💬 and reshare this post 🔁. Let's spread the word! 🗣️

We hope you are smiling too! 😊

This past weekend, "The Divine Voices" represented Propel Andrew Street High School at Braddock's Juneteenth celebration and parade. Their performance was followed by a surprise appearance from Representative Summer Lee!

Thank you to Mr. Podgorski for his dedication in planning this wonderful opportunity for our scholars!

The question is whether Pennsylvania is willing to do what is right. Young children should not be forced onto public transit simply because state law leaves room for unequal treatment.

Currently, a loophole allows school districts that bus their own students to give public transit passes to children as young as 5 years old based on the type of public school they attend. Propel Schools is fighting for a fix, because a child's safety should never depend on their school choice.

Let's protect our youngest learners. Please share this post to help spread the word, and let your state leaders know that child safety comes first.

Our Algebra 3 scholars from Propel Andrew Street High School recently took on a college-level math exam, proving they are ready for life after graduation!

But the learning didn't stop there. They also toured the historic Nationality Rooms at the University of Pittsburgh through an ethnomathematics lens—discovering how geometry, architecture, and craftsmanship connect math and culture across time periods.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to college and career readiness!

Public charter school students shouldn't be given public transit passes instead of safe, dedicated school buses, especially when school districts are providing those very buses to their own students.

This unfair double standard leaves children as young as 5 years old to navigate public transit alone. You heard, Rep. Mary Isaacson, lawmakers have a fundamental duty to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all children, regardless of the public school they attend.

It is time to fix this inequity. Join Propel Schools in telling our leaders that student safety cannot be conditional. 🛑👇

Close the loophole!
