We do all types of testing at HearWell Center including this test: Tympanometry. This tells use how much the eardrum or the space behind the eardrum might impact your hearing. It can provide clues about how the ear is venting, how it is moving and how it responds to pressure, among other things! It is a good test for someone that has a hearing issue and doesn't know why or for someone that feels a pressure or clogged sensation. It is quick and most people say it feels like going up and down in elevation (like driving up a hill or taking off the runway in an airplane).

If you have never had your hearing tested, this is part of the baseline testing needed to determine the next steps.
