This week marked the end of the Pitt in Rome experience for our students! Six weeks of discoveries, learning, and community-building. We can’t wait to see them back in Pittsburgh in August to hear everything about their adventures!

Pitt in Florence summer students Annie, Julia and Nora joined us at Spazio Alfieri for Bologna-born Fred Kuwornu's latest documentary, We Were Here: The Untold History of Black Africans in Renaissance Europe. A most interesting discussion followed this thought-provoking work 🎤 Grazie, Fred!

Pitt in Florence runs a course for our Italian students at the fourth semester+ that we call Firenze Popolare, an immersion in the People's Florence ⚜️ as we build our vocabularies and work grammatical gymnastics. These engaged students enhance each other's awareness (as well as mine, their teacher!) of contemporary Florentine life, the people and spaces and storie da conoscere.
