Three Rivers Youth

Three Rivers Youth is honored to share that our President & CEO, Peggy B. Harris, has been honored by the New Pittsburgh Courier as a standout nonprofit leader in Pittsburgh.
The New Pittsburgh Courier’s select list of 25 nonprofit leaders recognizes those who are visionary changemakers, transforming and strengthening the Pittsburgh community through dedication, passion and service.
Serving for 25 years as Three Rivers Youth’s President & CEO, Ms. Harris, has successfully lead the organization through dramatic changes in child welfare services and deepened the agency’s community impact by expanding its services to address the root causes of family distress, child welfare involvement, and struggling adults: trauma, addiction, mental illness, and obstacles to achieving the social determinants of long-term health and well-being.
Congratulations to the following friends and partners of Three Rivers Youth who were also honored! William Generett, Jr. (The Pittsburg Foundation), Maelene Myers (East Liberty Development, Inc.), Carmen Anderson (The Heinz Endowments), Kenya T. Boswell (The Highmark Foundation), Janis Burley Wilson (August Wilson African American Cultural Center), Sabrina Saunders Mosby (Vibrant Pittsburgh), Mark Lewis (P.O.I.S.E Foundation), Barata A. Bey (African American Chamber of Commerce), and Dr. Kathi Elliot (Gwen’s Girls).

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Imagine you get a great new job, a job you desperately need, only to realize that you can’t afford to take the bus to get there. Transportation is a serious barrier to employment; especially, in those initial few weeks before you see your first paycheck. Be a barrier-breaker and donate $100 to someone who honestly needs a lift by visiting pittsburghgives.org/organization/threeriversyouth TODAY and participating in The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Critical Needs Alert Day.

A valid driver's license or state ID is more than an ID; it's a passport to opportunity. Without one, it can be difficult to apply for jobs, secure housing, or access essential public resources and services.

A gift of $45 helps cover the cost of a new driver's license or state ID, opening doors for individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration, homelessness, or recovery.
Every gift makes a difference. Support Three Rivers Youth during The Pittsburgh Foundation's Critical Needs Alert Day on August 4, 2026.
