GALAXY FOG!

We went on an adventure to the arts festival, and we met completely fabulous, extraordinarily talented artists. Their souls illuminated each piece with the light of their genuine essence, and the air was saturated with inspiration and awe. Afterwards, we walked along the river and let our lenses freeze time as we basked in the buoyancy and freedom of this afternoon away from work. (Although we do love our jobs!!) We capped off the evening as beer connoisseurs, with a flight of excite: Nitro S'mores, the Sasquatch, Crisp, 8 Days a Week, and last, but absolutely not least: GALAXY FOG!!! The straight up hops-to-the-face paired well with a golden soft pretzel, the underrated carb of fun times. I'm stoked to have gotten to go on this city adventure with a rock star friend. Here are some stairs we saw, inspired by the fog of galaxies. :)

Feuillage pour Deux.

A fellow biologist stood with me in a rooftop garden. The temperature was perfect and the air was somewhat humid. I was thankful that the rain had been light and had stopped long enough for us to enjoy this garden in the sky. We peered over the edge to admire the view of the lush foliage and a serene pond. I had never seen anything quite like it. We talked about the lily pads and the fantastic environment-friendly mechanisms of the conservatory. As we gazed at the luxuriant vegetation, I imagined the leaves transformed into hues of pink, blue, and violet. The observers below seemed so peacefully engaged with the sight of the long, elegant pond. As they walked away, I felt a longing sense that I could not leave the pond behind....so here it is. I am glad I was able to capture a piece of the feeling, and that I got to spend the day with someone I hadn't seen in much too long.

It's difficult to decide which I like more... what do you guys think?
