We had a great morning at the Industry 4.0 Teacher Academy this week!

A special shoutout to Humotech’s COO, Candice Caputo, for representing Humotech on the industry panel and sharing her perspective on innovation, Industry 4.0, and the technologies shaping the future of work.

The panel was a fantastic opportunity to connect with educators and fellow industry leaders and share real-world experiences that can help inspire the next generation of manufacturing talent.

Thank you to Catalyst Connection and Digital Foundry at New Kensington for bringing industry and education together and creating opportunities like this.

And a big thank-you to the rest of the panel:
• Nate Homitsky, VP of Information — Aerotech, Inc.
• Cynthia Rogers, Senior Communications Strategist — The Barnes Global Advisors
• Rob Mrozek, Sr. Manufacturing Innovation & Efficiency Project Coordinator — Coherent Corp.
• Scott Dietz, Catalyst Connection — Moderator

We appreciated the great conversations, meaningful connections, and opportunity to be part of such an important discussion!

The Questions That Changed Everything - Amplitude 08/04/2026

“I didn’t realize it was possible to demo different devices.”

This quote from amputee and journalist Chris Egert a recent piece in the Amplitude Media Group strikes a cord with us here at Humotech.

The piece highlights a challenge many patients face: making life-changing prosthetic decisions without fully understanding all of their options.

This is why we've worked so hard to develop the Clinical Caplex®️ System, designed to make it easier to trial different foot options and capture experiental data.

An abstract featuring Humotech's Caplex® System will be presented at Military Health's MHSRS 2026 in research led by Dr. Kota Takahashi: "𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘈𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘯 𝘌𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳."

The study demonstrates how prosthetic emulation technology can be used to rapidly evaluate pylon stiffness and better understand the interaction of prosthetic components during walking.

Congratulations to the research team, including Humotech co-authors Dr. Josh Caputo and Carl Curran. If you're attending MHSRS, be sure to check out Dr. Takahashi's presentation.

Congratulations to Hiva Razavi, Manal Mustafa, Keegan J. Moore, and Philippe Malcolm on their publication, 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Utilizing Humotech's Caplex® System, the team investigated how targeted force oscillations can influence walking energetics and biomechanics. It's exciting to see researchers continue to push our understanding of human movement using flexible, data-driven tools.

Happy 4th of July from Humotech 🇺🇸

Independence Day is a reminder that progress is built over time—through persistence, shared effort, and a focus on improving everyday outcomes.

It’s also a time to step back, spend the day with family and friends, and reflect on what independence means in our own lives and communities.

Humotech is closed in observance today, and will resume normal operations on Monday.

Have a safe and fun holiday weekend!
