Today marks 5 years since I took that stance for therapy. lead the way and I’m forever grateful. I also can’t thank for his suggestions and talks we had leading up to taking that leap. I went through two therapists before I found the right one ( a Black therapist who truly understood me and didn’t let me give up on myself)
I mean this from the bottom of my ❤️ if it wasn’t for therapy, I don’t know if I’d be the person I am today. I’m truly proud of what I’ve overcome these last 5 years.
Therapy doesn’t change you overnight. It helps you understand the parts of yourself you can’t always put into words — especially with the people around you. Grateful for growth, healing, and self-awareness.
I take this very seriously because healing isn’t something to play with. If you’re looking for growth, you have to give effort.
You want a relationship or friendship to work? You have to give effort. If there’s no effort being made, nothing changes and when you stay the same too long, people will eventually outgrow those old versions of you.
I love this version of me because I worked my butt off and I see the results. 💎💪🏾❤️

Sometimes the best way to move forward is to walk back through where it all started. It can be exciting, it can be painful, it can be overwhelming but this here is healing. So many important lessons were taught in this park for me. Thinking back it was my safe space. I miss that feeling. I miss the people we’ve lost over the years. This is what I’ve been putting in my project. Few more places to go and tell you guys about. My upbringing is unique. I feel comfortable to truly share now. ✍🏾🎥❤️
