Tonight, the 18th Ward Democratic Committee successfully held its Reorganization Meeting and elected a new team of officers to help lead our ward forward.

Thank you to all of the committee members who participated. We look forward to working together to strengthen Democratic engagement in our neighborhood, support our candidates, and continue building a stronger and more effective 18th Ward.

You can take the girl out of the Circus, but you can’t take the Circus out of the girl! Clowns are sacred beings, they take reality and flip it upside down and force you to reconsider what you might think is true and real while they shock, amaze, amuse, delight, and yes, sometimes scare you! I have always been fascinated by my dear friends and fellow creative citizens of the sideshow community. Back in the 90s when I was a young half man half woman glass eating fist masticating bald youth, I toured the nation with multiple groups, like Circus Rediculous, and the Bindleftiff Family Roadshow, and to be honest, I found their way of life a little too difficult to maintain as I continued my own creative path , but I never lost my love for the incredible passion and artistry of the people who use their mind, bodies, and spirits to delight their audiences into reconsidering reality as they once knew it.

Last night‘s show at Wizbang Theater Wizbang! with the Squidling Brothers Squidling Brothers did not disappoint! I was honored to join them for the kickoff to their big Midwestern tour. They’re headed for Michigan today, and will end up in Pittsburgh at a show I’m producing with amoeba knievel amoeba knievel at Dr. Tumblety’s Time-Inspired Specialty Shop Conjure Bar & Stage 🎩 Dr. Tumblety’s®️ Conjure Bar & Stage on June 28. If they are coming to a town near you, I strongly suggest you enjoy these artists at the top of their game! They are disturbing blessing on all who come to bear witness on their bizarre beauty!

I’m so grateful to all the organizers and volunteers for going above and beyond again to produce such a joyful and affirming event. Pittsburgh Pride is made up of incredible volunteers, community organizers, and it’s grown to become such an incredible celebration of Q***r love and freedom! I started the day marching with We Rock Workshop on the ! Most of the day I was busy shepherding the students with my co teachers, so I didn’t get too many selfies but here are the few I got!!

Oh no!!! Office of Safety shut us down for rain!!! I have to admit it’s pretty damp out here, but we know that rain only brings the rainbows! Hope to see everybody out for the March tomorrow! I’ll be with We Rock Workshop in the March and will be on the community stage at 2:30 PM!
