Every move tells a story.

So far in 2026, young people across our region learned new skills, built confidence, competed in tournaments, explored leadership opportunities, and discovered the power of strategic thinking through chess.

Our latest newsletter highlights the students, partners, instructors, and communities making this work possible.

Confidence doesn’t appear overnight.

It grows through trying, learning, adjusting, and making the next move anyway.

Our Wi******er Thurston Chess Team had a great time welcoming Dr. King this week ♟️

Students had the opportunity to learn more about an exciting new project he’s developing, ask questions, and engage in fun chess games.

We’re excited for what’s ahead - more news soon.

Already looking forward to the next one in July!
