The original illustration of my cat Egon was done years ago. I wanted to revisit it to better capture his personality. During the summers he would lay on his back directly under the ceiling fan, his tummy fur blowing in the breeze. If I said his name, he would lift his ever so slightly and look at me through his fur. It always cracked me up. I miss my buddy and all his little mannerisms. 🖤.

Making progress on this beast. Next up is finishing the background. I put down a solid teal as the base color, but it will be lightened quite a bit.

I took a short trip to Cleveland over the weekend with a friend. We stumbled across a gorgeous metro park and decided to capture a bit of it. She painted, I sketched. It’s been a while since I’ve done this kind of drawing. It was a nice break in the day and reminder that I can, in fact, draw. 😅
