A Family Tradition
It started with chocolates. Our family has been crafting chocolates for over 100 years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are fourth generation chocolatiers and growing up in our family’s chocolate factory our favorite thing was our pecan caramel clusters. After spending some time in the nation’s capital, the three of us rejoined the family business.
But that’s a tale all its own because this story is about chocolate. and caramel. and pretzels. sometimes fudge and cinnamon and peppermint.
One night we wanted to try something new. We gathered up every type of pretzel we could find at the store, took them down to our grandfather’s candy kitchen and began to experiment. What we came up with, after many trials and errors, was Snappers – the perfect balance of crunchy, salty, and sweet we were craving and a tribute to our favorite childhood treat. From there, Snappers just took off and we have been chasing it ever since.
