NeighborHope is a faith based non-profit organization originally founded by New Hope Church in 1999 as New Hope for Neighborhood Renewal (NHNR) to address the needs of the Marshall Shadeland Neighborhood. NeighborHope is focused on holistic Christian Community Development and strives to meet the felt needs of the community while pointing them to Jesus Christ.

Nutritious free meals are available for children & teens at many locations throughout PA during the summer while school is out of session. The USDA has a map to locate a summer meal in your area. http://ow.ly/BQ8230klrB6
Join us for 'trunk or treat" community & church members decorate & fill their trunks with goodies...a safe alternative to trick or treat, candy, costumers, games, prizes for best costume and music. This is a partnership between New Hope Church, Neighborhope & Light of Life Ministry - Oct. 31, 6-8pm 2710 Shadeland Avenue, Pgh, PA 15212 all are invited!
Hey everyone as the season of giving quickly approaches here are some random acts of kindness we can all participate in to make someones day, & with very little effort or money. Let your children participate too not just this season but year round....you'll feel great...promise! Suggestions:

1. Place a quarter in someone’s meter or dryer at the Laundromat that is about to expire.
2. Leave encouraging post-it notes in library books and other random places.
3. Collect and donate prom dresses for underprivileged youth. Drop them off at a local inner-city High School.
4. How many coats do you own? Do you need all of them? Give a warm coat to a homeless person.
5. Donate clothes, shoes, etc. to homeless or women’s shelters
6. Pay for the person’s order behind you in a drive-thru or Bus Fare for another rider
7. Buy someone a cup of coffee or soda.
8. Give a teacher some school supplies for her students
9. Rake leaves or run an errand for an elderly neighbor
10. Volunteer at your local food pantry

We want to thank all of our donors, neighbors, volunteers, members and staff for another successful Children's Clothing Closet, we were able to help over 30 families with essential clothing, coats & shoes.
