Cybergenetics TrueAllele® technology interprets DNA data from crime scene evidence. Cybergenetics was founded in 1994.

The initial focus was genetics, using computers to automate the interpretation of DNA data for medical diagnosis and gene discovery. Five years later, the company transitioned into forensic analysis, helping to eliminate backlogs and solving the DNA mixture problem. The company’s TrueAllele® technology helped identify victim remains in the World Trade Center disaster. Ten years of continual refine

TrueAllele Investigative Database (TAID) generates and stores DNA genotypes from both simple and complex DNA evidence. TAID also compares genotypes from evidence to other evidence.

You don’t need a specific suspect to get a clear picture of crime in your county. TAID will give you information about the number of contributors and the match strength to identify repeat offenders and strengthen cases for prosecution.

Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping is teaching America about a long-time institutional problem with DNA interpretation. Investigations are often put on pause for months waiting for results that often return inconclusive. Nancy can’t wait.

Let us examine the data, and we will likely identify DNA profiles to move this case forward.

DNA from Nancy Guthrie's house may not provide enough evidence to help investigators, sources say 02/27/2026

As we enter day 27 of investigating Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping, the investigation seems to have stopped, waiting for the DNA to catch up. Because the DNA is mixed, normal methods will take months to a year to solve. TrueAllele can solve this mixture in weeks.

Cybergenetics has been solving complex and low-level mixtures for decades. We routinely separate five, six, and seven person DNA mixtures.

Let us examine the data, and we will likely identify DNA profiles to move this case forward.

The Guthrie case--two types of DNA analysis: STRs (Criminal and forensic databases) and SNPs (genealogy, physical traits). | Greg Hampikian 02/26/2026

Check out this news clip from Dr. Greg Hampikian discussing DNA from the Guthrie case. Dr. Hampikian has worked closely with Cybergenetics on many complex DNA cases in the past with great results.

Cybergenetics will gladly take a look at the complex DNA mixture as part of our TrueAllele® screening and could yield more informative results as Dr. Hampikian says "in hours."

TrueAllele interprets 7-person DNA mixture in gang killing 02/25/2026

The DNA narrative in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping is flawed.

The consensus is that because the DNA is mixed, it could take months or even up to a year to solve. This is false.

They also say that unless there is a clear primary contributor the technology doesn’t exist yet. This is false.

Low level mixtures are easy for TrueAllele®. Cybergenetics has been solving complex and low-level mixtures for decades. We routinely separate five, six, and seven person DNA mixtures.

Let us examine the data, and we will likely identify DNA profiles to move this case forward.
