Each month, the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) will share recommended titles from familiar faces across Allegheny County. 📚✨
June’s picks come from children's author Caroline Carlson. She writes magical tales for children and tweens, including The Door at the End of the World and The Tinkerers. 🧙‍♂️ACLA has hosted Caroline twice as a keynote author for the Children's Choice Awards. In addition, her books have also been featured for Books & Beyond on Pittsburgh Today Live. This month's book of the month is her latest adventure for middle grade readers, The Tinkerers, a fantasy that follows Peter's journey as he tries to fix mistakes by nudging time. 🕰️đźŚ

Fan of 'Call Me By Your Name' ? You might wanna check out 'Enigma Variations' by the same author! Welcome back to 'Rory's Reads' where I (Rory, ACLA's social media intern) recommend you a book I have enjoyed recently! Enigma Variations is a novel by André Aciman which follows a young man named Paul following his romantic endeavors across his life from childhood to early adulthood. This novel pulls on heartstrings with it's themes of self discovery, nostalgia, and philosophical musings. This is a great book to read in the summer! As this book features some explicit themes and content I would reccomend this read for anyone 18+.
If this book interests you feel free to follow the link below to check ACLA's catalog to see which library near you carries it!
