Harmony Dog Rescue

Become a foster volunteer, dog walker, or driver and help us support individuals and families fleeing dangerous situations.

The Nina Baldwin Fisher Foundation recently awarded us a grant to support our Emergency Boarding Fund. We are so grateful for this generous gift. This is what pet retention looks like: helping people through a crisis so they don’t lose their animals. Thank you for believing in this work and helping us continue our mission. 🙏

Thank you Shaler North Hills Library for giving us an opportunity to tell our story. Each month, the library invites organizations to highlight their work using display cases on the second floor, and October is our month!

We weren’t sure how this would work out but it looks like Calvin found a home and he’s not coming back. He came to us covered in filth and terrified of everything. Five month later, he walked into his new home as if he always lived there. His confidence grew because of the countless hours spent with him by volunteers, first sitting in his kennel, then feeding him, then touching him and taking him for walks and car rides. His confidence also grew because of the fosters Ashley Phelps and Katie Wolfendale, who opened up his world and taught him how to live in a home. Thank you to everyone who helped, so many of us had a stake in Calvin’s future so we can all share in this wonderful outcome. A special thank you to Jackie and Paws Across Pittsburgh, who was the catalyst in getting Calvin out of the house.

Our inaugural Bingo Fundraiser is in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out to play last night. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped run the show. Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who donated prizes and raffle items for the event. Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission of keeping pets with their people. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
