Kerry McConnon Joins ColdSpark as Partner - ColdSpark ColdSpark is excited to announce that Kerry McConnon, one of Washington, D.C.’s most seasoned and consistently effective public affairs strategists, is joining as a partner. Kerry will focus on expanding ColdSpark’s robust public affairs offerings and D.C. presence.

15 years ago, we started ColdSpark with a small (but mighty!) team and a dream.

Some things have changed — we have a few more gray hairs and nicer office — but the heart of ColdSpark remains the same.

Since 2011, we’ve had the privilege of working with some of most dedicated people in the industry, doing everything it takes to win for our clients. It’s been a crazy, wonderful, Diet Coke-fueled ride so far. Here’s to the next 15!

Job Description: Accounting and Compliance Associate

Individual will provide campaign finance treasury and compliance services to state and federal political campaign committees, political action committees (PACs), political party committees and candidates for public office.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of two year college degree preferably in accounting or business
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
3. Ability to interact with clients and provide excellent customer service
4. Ability to perform basic bookkeeping, and maintain financial records and financial databases
5. Able to work in a fast paced environment

Supervision:
This position will be supervised and will report to the President of the company.

Duties:
1. Serve as a point of contact for client accounts
2. Perform bookkeeping duties such as recording deposits, issuing expenditures (checks, wires, ACH), maintaining accounts payable ledgers and performing bank reconciliations
3. Perform financial data entry into campaign finance databases
4. Maintain documentation for financial transactions
5. Assist in completing state and federal campaign finance compliance reports and other documents
6. Assist in completing IRS documents and forms
7. Help clients stay compliant with applicable campaign finance laws
8. Perform general clerical and administrative duties
9. Other duties as assigned by the President
