Viewpoint will be on a holiday break with limited hours December 22nd through January 1st so that our staff can enjoy time with their families and friends! We will make sure to monitor emails and voicemails for any production and rental needs. VPS wishes you a wonderful holiday and happy new year!

Last week, Viewpoint and the entire Pittsburgh production community lost an amazing friend/colleague, Greg Sparks (Sparky). Greg was always known for being a great guy, with a giant heart, and contagious smile. He would never pass up an opportunity to work and it was always a pleasure having Sparky on job sites with us at Viewpoint. We always knew if he was working with us on the show, it would be nothing but a great experience. Greg will be dearly missed and we are sending our deepest condolences to his family and friends. We at Viewpoint Productions Services are saddened to report the recent passing of founding member, Jim Artzberger. Jim and his brother Bill created and built Viewpoint Production Services in their fathers’ garage in Westview, PA, a northern suburb of Pittsburgh.

Anyone who knew Jimmy could tell how passionate he was of the industry, this business and the people involved. He was an influencer before influencing was a thing. His brilliance in engineering, work ethic, and compassion were second to none, and anyone who knew Jimmy has a story.

In thinking of Jimmy a few words come to mind…generous in not only his knowledge but his time, an avid collector of anything that burnt fuel or sparked his interest, calm and non-confrontational, often the first into the shop and last one to leave. He was a friend, a mentor and so much more to many of us. Jimmy WAS Viewpoint.

Visitation will be held at the Schellhass & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. on Monday ,May 23rd from 1pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm with a service being held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 24th. All that knew Jimmy are invited to attend.

Viewpoint will be closed Monday, May 23rd and Tuesday, May 24th to remember Jimmy.

As we all know, our industry was one of the first and hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. While most, if not all of the country, will be impacted by new regulations and guidelines being passed down from local, state, and federal agencies, we want to assure everyone that Viewpoint is in this for the long haul.

While still continuing to support all of our current projects, as well as, all future projects, we will be adjusting our office hours and methods of contact. To best protect everyone associated with Viewpoint operations, our employees will be working as remotely as possible. The two best methods of contact will be by phone at 412-369-7171 or by email at [email protected] . For any situation that requires person to person interaction, Viewpoint will be following the best practice guidelines provided by authorities and will adjust as needed and/or dictated. We are still operational, open for business, and on-call for any of our clients’ needs, as well as, being able to offer assistance if your family becomes in need.

Although, there are many unknowns, including severity and timeframe of this pandemic, we look forward to rebuilding and providing the service, expertise, and camaraderie that Viewpoint has built over the past 35 years.
