This morning, I've been intrigued by the three usages of "bless" in Ephesians 1:3. It is an interesting and difficult word to achieve the full flavor from. I found that most translations simply define "bless" with "bless,"(Bless, blessed, blessings) which in my English training, it is kind of lazy to translate a word with itself!
The most traditional translation reads:
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ." (NKJV)
Very few translations go outside this box. I've only found two paraphrased editions (Phillips and MSG) that even hints at a slightly different take on this very pregnant, but mysterious word. And I think the rigid box of translating the word: "ευλογώ" is probably a result of tradition.
After a bit of tooling around with the actual Greek word, "
ευλογώ," and the various translations into English of this word, combined with some exploration of synonyms, this is the translation I like for myself today.
"Fortunate is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has favored us with every spiritual favor in the Holy Spirit's realm for those who have believed in Christ."
Try taking these two translations "fortunate and favored" and re-reward Mathew Chap 5. I think you will gain a new appreciation for Christ's beatitudes.

What's on my mind as my start this Tuesday, June 18, 2024? The Messiah of the God of Abraham.
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”
“The son of David,” they replied.
He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.”’
If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”
Indeed, how can the Messiah be a mere human being? Can one human being, morally corrupt, fallen and broken, eternally save another human being of the same nature, from the unsparing moral eye of the Eternal Good God? Of course, not! The Messiah could not possibly be a descendant from the Adamic fallen nature, even if he had a lineage of David after the flesh. Then the Messiah had to be Divine unspoiled in spirit and soul. And only one person fits that description in all human history, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the so-called, Son of Adam, and the Son of Adam, who was in reality the Son of God.
There is salvation from no one else, under any other rubric, anywhere else in all the Earth. Jesus Christ, the Messiah from Heaven.

I am very much in this mode ...
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out 'Abba, Father.' For The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." -- (Romans 8:14-16, NKJV)
Being adopted is very much a privileged place to be. Think of it! To be adopted by God. That's a choice, a clear eternal decision. The "spirit of bo***ge" is a place of works, of unacceptance. On the other hand, we we are living free by the hand of God's Spirit we are adopted into the Household of Life and Freedom. So each day I am in this mode. I challenge you to be so too. Find your way to adoption, if you have not already, by our Dear Father in Heaven. He has made a way, in His Son, Jesus. Forgiveness through the blood of the His Cross is the path to being led by the Spirit.

Good night faithful in the Lord,
I leave with this thought from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
Another way of saying this to me, sounds like this: Isn't it a joy to know you have eternal life? In every circumstance of life, nothing changes God's promise! You have faith in My Son's work on the cross and His rising from the dead, then you have eternal life! How can I not be joyful at this wonderful news? Forgiven -- in total, everyday of my life here! Though the life of the flesh test me, I know the life I live in faith secures me. It is not I who live; It's Christ in me the hope of glory. Joyful and giving thanks! Joyful and giving thanks! Say it in prayer continually,

Good Lord's Day Morning, FBFs-
I start this day mindful of the divisions in my will. I'm in prayer, trying to break down the wall of division obstructing my journey to Wholeness with my God, the Lord Jesus.
"God makes His people strong. God gives His people peace." -- the Psalm of King David, 29:11.
If I have peace, why am I still struggling with completeness? It all starts with the nature of my peace. Peace is not from me but rather it is God's acceptance of me through His forgiveness. God makes His people strong, says the Psalmist, and I see in this Peace. God has forgiven me every sin -- past, present and future. So I'm accepted by Him; knowing this is strength. I am not condemned but sanctified. Yet, I am still here, on this earth in this divided will. A part of me wants to be selfish, greedy, lustful, covetous. So, today, I will be in prayer to my God, knowing that there is still work to be done by His Spirit to make me whole. His is not a work of condemnation but a work of restoration.

Put to rest in your mind, once and for all, the false witnesses, who claim the New Testament witness of our Lord's Resurrection occurred decades maybe hundred years after the fact. This testimony is blatantly false.
The dates on the composition of the texts on the resurrection start with the Apostle Paul, not the Gospels themselves. Paul's 1 Cor 15 cannot have been written any later than 22 years after the event. If you read just that one section of scripture, you would (barring complete unwillingness) know for historical fact, that any dates beyond 30 to 60 years are way off, and way too late. Galatians would be even earlier. As little as 15 years out, perhaps between 45-50 A.D. Even if you take the latest historically accepted date, 95 A.D. for the Gospel of John, you are only talking about 62 years from the accepted Crucifixion date of 33 A.D. There is absolutely no reason for any Christian to accept the wild, blatant fictions of 100 years put forward by the ignorant and atheists who wouldn't know a primary source witness from a noon day sun.
Everything necessary to secure the truth of the Resurrection was known and available within the same generation of the Lord's and his Apostles. The subsequent generations from the 1st to the 21st added nothing to this witness, nor subtracted from it.
"3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born."
-- The First Letter of the Apostle Paul to the 1st Century Christians in the City of Corinth in Greece, 55 A.D. (1 Cor. 15:1-8, NIV)
