Sherry Jo Matt, founder of Stop the Judgment Project and owner of Transcendent Staging, will be receiving the Laura Ditka Award for Advocacy & Service at this year’s 16th Annual Women of Achievement Awards. The awards are held by Cribs for Kids, a wonderful organization in the Pittsburgh area that provides cribs for mothers in need and educates parents on the dangers of unsafe sleep environments. Since 1998, Cribs for Kids has advocated for infant sleep safety. In 2010, they helped pass Pennsylvania legislation to enforce infant safe sleep education in hospitals, inspiring other states to do the same. They have also established numerous programs, including Safe Sleep Academy, an online educational resource.
Follow the link below to buy tickets for the event or donate! All proceeds from the Women of Achievement Awards will benefit Cribs for Kids and the amazing work they continue to do for infants and parents.
