World Environment Day reminds us that building a more sustainable future starts with education and community partnerships.
Through our commitment with the PPG Foundation to invest $5 million in sustainability education by 2030, we’re helping equip the next generation with the tools to make a difference.
From our partnership in Brazil with Junior Achievement and the Our Planet, Our Home program — which brings sustainability concepts to life, including circular and green economies and practical ways to reduce environmental impact — to our work with the Foundation for Environmental Education, expanding access to the Eco-Schools framework for educators worldwide, these efforts aim to create meaningful impact.
In the U.S., programs like Organic Connects in Cleveland, Ohio, engage students in hands-on environmental learning, including soil science research, rain garden planting and green space beautification. Meanwhile, through our partnership with the Land Trust of North Alabama, students contribute to biodiversity monitoring, water quality research and ecosystem restoration.
Together, we’re empowering students to learn, act and lead for a more sustainable future.

We teamed up with STEM Talent Girl to support innovation in action across Spain.
At Camarma, Valencia and Valladolid, students took on real challenges inspired by our plants – rethinking logistics, improving communication and finding smarter ways to track materials. Guided by our mentors, they teamed up, got creative and pitched their ideas like pros.
The result? Fresh thinking, bold solutions and a lot of teamwork. Every team walked away a winner – and we walked away inspired by what the next generation can do.
