Here’s a very fond memory from around 1995.
I wrote the music, recorded it, and produced it at my studio for the Gateway Clipper Fleet in Pittsburgh. This was the first of two commercials I had the pleasure of writing and recording for them, and I also appeared in the video footage.
And funnily enough, my drummer friend Rick Dickerson is in the film as a stand-in trumpet player.
Great memories from a special time.
I hope this brings back some fond memories for those of you who ever spent time on one of those wonderful boat cruises.
A big thank you to Candi for sending this to me. I worked on it a bit and restored it the best I could.

There's something sacred about stepping into the quiet of the woods at night — where the sounds are soft, the shadows are deep, and something greater than yourself feels close. 🌲🎶
"A Night In The Forest" is Tony Janflone Jr.'s invitation into that stillness. Born from *Tone Poems, Volume 1* — an album that became more than music, it became a testimony to healing, grace, and the gifts we're trusted to carry — this track speaks without words.
Composed, arranged, recorded, and mastered entirely by Tony at KeyTones Studio, every guitar line, every whisper of bass and percussion was shaped by his own hands… and guided by something far greater.
If you need a reminder tonight that hope still rises — this one's for you. 🙏✨
