Well, tonight is my last night at home before surgery Thursday. They want me to check in tomorrow evening so that’s that.

The anxiety is starting to really ramp up. Things happened at work that have kept my mind occupied, but there’s no avoiding this.

I hate sleeping alone. I hate being away from Bryan.

Hope my brain will shut up so I can get some sleep tonight.

On the bounciest bus headed for a Gina COVID test before surgery!

Had early morning appointment with the urology surgeon who will be doing his portion of the surgery.

It’s been such a long week and it’s only Thursday.

Well the cavity had turned into a root canal. Which is getting fixed this afternoon.

And they have moved up the surgery date to June 22nd!

Have a 7am dentist appointment to fill my very first cavity. Kinda freaked out by the entire process.

Then I have 3 appointments with the transplant team to get the ball rolling. It’s going to be a long day.

I have a match!
Surgery is set for June 23rd. I have the best friend in the world!!!!!

Well, today I start my week long dialysis training. It was a crazy weekend of flower making for Mother’s Day and I’m still super tired, but have to keep trucking on.

Day 2 post PD cath implantation and I’m still in a fair amount of pain. Was not anticipating this level of debilitation. It’s so frustrating to not be mobile like I normally am. Still have a lot of swelling which inhibits even bending to put shoes or pants on. Going to try an ice pack today. I need to get back to work.

Checking in at the hospital for the placement of the peritoneal dialysis catheter. Hope this goes fast. I’m starving.

After a lot of drama over the last two weeks, I have officially scheduled the placement of a peritoneal dialysis catheter for next week.

I really hoped that we would never get this far; but well, here I am.

Had some pre-dialysis blood work today, seven tubes to top everything off.
