This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending Autism Urban Connections Inc.'s community day to talk about disabilities and Healthcare. Bridging the gap to make Healthcare equally accessible for those with disabilities is a project I pride myself on, and there's a lot of work to do.

At the Blues and Roots festival by Band Together Pittsburgh talking about safety and Autism - say howdy!

Today we received our Certified Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE) certification from Disability:IN. This took several months of planning and paperwork and this certification allows us to stand out in government and private sector contracting, and to showcase how proud we are to be owned by disabled entrepreneurs.

Excited to share that Ethan passed his NAAC Certified Ambulance Coder certification over the holiday weekend. This course teaches advanced-level knowledge on medical coding, billing, collections, and the revenue cycle specifically for Emergency Medical Services. We look forward to using this knowledge to better advise clients on Revenue Cycle Management going forward.

Additionally, we had a lovely breakfast meeting of 3 of the 4 Members (and, equally as important, their spouses/loved ones) this past weekeend.

I was crunching the year-end numbers and between volunteer hours, donation of goods & services, and cash donations, we've given a little over $3,000 to eligible charities in 2023.

This is from a company that's only made about $9,000 this year - much of that in the last quarter when business finally sped up.

This was never about money (to me, anyway), of course, but about building relationships, doing the right thing, and proving that the answer to "You can't do that, you're autistic" is "Actually, yes I can."

And a special thanks to Autism Connection of Pennsylvania - without whom we wouldn't of gotten nearly this far.
