Big update for the home performance industry!
The DOE released new guidance today setting a pathway to release billions in State Home Energy Rebate funds. These funds had been paused while the program was under review. For contractors who've been waiting on these programs to move, this is a step in the right direction.
We're tracking how the changes roll out. Read BPA's full release: https://building-performance.org/doe-guidance-home-energy-rebate-programs/

Tyler Harmon-Townsend and Pete Krumdieck of CUNY Building Performance Lab are channeling their building science brains into workforce training that actually builds analytical thinkers.
Their spreadsheet-based instructional framework uses transparent Excel workbooks and a single-family home model to help trainees...

Meet Eleuterio Martinez of LifeWorks Community Action in Ballston Spa, NY. He learns the same way he teaches. ๐
As a new auditor, Eleuterio is already learning that the best way to help homeowners understand their home's energy performance is to show them โ not just tell them.
Visuals make it click.
So when he heard about The Clean Energy for Homes Conference, he showed up ready to dig in. He's been hands-on with vendors on the trade show floor, bouncing in and out of sessions, and soaking up everything he can โ because that's how he learns best.
The more he builds his knowledge, the better he can serve the homeowners who trust him. That's the kind of professional development that matters.
