Giving 2 Grow supports Hilltop Urban Farm, located on 107 acres of land – with 23 acres dedicated to farming. Central to its mission are three core programs. Our Community Farm Plot grows culturally relevant vegetables, ensuring fresh, nourishing food reaches local food pantries and underserved families. Our Youth Farm nurtures the next generation through year-round, hands-on agricultural education opportunities. Our Farmer Incubator Program empowers aspiring farm entrepreneurs with the skills, resources, and mentorship needed to build successful farm businesses.

Giving 2 Grow has partnered with Fayette County Community Action Agency to support their "Let's Get Cooking" classes. Yum yum!!

Meet Giving to Grow member Lourdes Castellanos. Lourdes states:”I am impressed by the work & dedication of the members who belong to G2G. The mission of the organization is to alleviate hunger for the children of SW PA by providing grants to organizations addressing this need. I am most impressed by the number, outreach and dedication of the many organizations who do this work. In participating, I have learned that the need is truly dire. I urge you to join us and contribute and thus give more children in our area a chance to thrive.”

Giving 2 Grow has partnered with East End United Community Center, providing essential food and necessities for our neighbors in low-income families in the East End of Pittsburgh.

Family style meals are at the root of Angels' Place, Inc. approach to creating an enriching, encouraging environment. We have an onsite nutritional coordinator offering healthy, balanced meals and snacks served in the morning and afternoon. We partner with families with food sensitivities and allergies.

Giving 2 Grow proudly supported 412 Food Rescue, which swiftly rescues fresh surplus food and delivers it where it’s needed most, leveraging people-powered technology and strong community partnerships to tackle both food insecurity and climate change.

Another one of our grants has gone to Mooncrest Neighborhood where we support their after-school and summer camp programs.

We are also proud to support 412 Food Rescue which delivers fresh food to non profits who serve our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Beverly's Greater Pgh Infant Formula Bank has filled a critical need in our region by creating an infant formula food bank. We are so proud to have given them grant money to further this important cause.

One of our grants was given to Garfield Community Farm. Children learned gardening skills and also what foods are healthy for them. Great work!

Friday member feature! Betsy Hohlfelder says that it breaks her heart to think of hungry children-so she looked for a way to help.
