Nami Bey took home first place in the Adult Video/Interdisciplinary Art category of the third iteration of "Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh" with their work "Soul Searching."

"Soul Searching" is about uncovering the stories that live within us and the emotional and ancestral archives that shape who we are. The accompanying song, which can be listened to at carnegiemuseums.org/envisioning-a-just-pittsburgh-2025, becomes record of resilience, identity, and truth. Through storytelling and melody, one is able to envision a future where every soul’s story is heard and valued.

Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh, 1Hood Media, and the August Wilson African American Cultural Center again joined together to host the third iteration of "Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh," an inclusive call for art that encouraged artists throughout southwestern Pennsylvania to share their visions for a just and equitable Pittsburgh with their work, "Where Change Begins."
