Significant Solar Facts for 2023

Hi Solar Energy Fans! There's a tremendous renewable energy bill that was recently introduced in the Pa State House. Please let your House Representative know that you support the bill and want them to do the same. You can click on the link to let them know of yours support. The bill is House Bill 1467 which will raise the level of renewable energy in Pa to 30% by 2030 and will create a framework for local business to build a community solar project and sell that power back to the local community. This is a great bill and will help Pa catch up to its neighbors NY, NJ, MD, and Delaware which are aggressively pursuing carbon pollution reduction and renewable energy already. The bill may not pass this year but we need to raise a ruckus and keep engaging our legislators about it and hopefully we can get it passed in the future and before 2030! 7211 Thomas Blvd will once again be on the ASES National Solar Tour. You can visit us from noon to 4pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 6, 7, and 8. You might find this to be one of the more interesting solar installations on the tour because we have 3 different solar arrays. We have a 34 panel roof array installed in 2012, a 40 panel ground mount array installed in 2013, and a 24 panel array installed on 3 steel poles in 2020. They refer to this stop on the tour as "98 Solar Panels on Thomas Blvd". Feel free to stop by and say hi and please feel free to repost this to get the word out. Thanks!
