Here is what the Connected Energy Solar long term lease looks like in practice.
Zero dollars down. You keep your capital and can put it toward whatever else you have going on. A fixed monthly rate that never changes for the full 25 year term. No escalators, no surprises, no rate increases. Ever.
While Duquesne Light and West Penn Power keep raising their rates every year yours stays exactly the same. The longer you are on the lease the better the deal gets relative to what your neighbors are paying the utility company.
And here is the part that most homeowners have never heard from any home improvement company. The entire system is covered under a 25 year warranty including parts and labor. If anything goes wrong at any point during the lease we fix it. You never see a bill for it. Not once in 25 years.
For homeowners who want predictable fixed energy costs, zero maintenance responsibility, and protection from utility rate increases without putting any money down upfront, this lease was built for you.

We really appreciate this one from Eyas because it addresses something Pittsburgh homeowners deal with constantly.
The door to door solar salespeople who show up with a one size fits all proposal and pressure you into signing before they leave your driveway.
Connected Energy Solar does not operate that way. We start with your address. We build a custom assessment around your specific home, your roof, your energy usage, and your situation. And at no point in the process will you feel rushed or pressured into anything.
The result according to Eyas is a better system at a significantly lower price than what those door knockers were offering.
That is the difference between a local company that actually does the work and a sales operation that is just trying to close.

If you have been sitting on some extra money and wondering what the smartest way to go solar is right now, this is worth your attention.
Connected Energy Solar’s prepaid lease gives you an immediate 20% discount off the total system cost. Depending on your system size that is thousands of dollars back on day one before your panels have even produced their first kilowatt of energy.
No monthly payments for the life of the lease. Your solar still offsets your electricity from day one. And at month 61 Connected Energy Solar transfers full ownership of the system to you.
That is the quickest payback period and the fastest route to outright solar ownership available in the Pittsburgh market right now.
Once the system is yours your energy is essentially free for the remaining life of the panels. No utility bills to dread. No rate increases to worry about. Just clean energy that belongs entirely to you.
If you have the capital available and want to see what this would look like for your specific home send us a message or drop a comment below. Free assessment, no obligation, no pressure.
The number one reason Pittsburgh homeowners do not reach out to us is because they have already decided their roof is not right for solar before anyone has even looked at it.
In this video Dunnegan walks through some things that actually determine whether a roof works for solar. And he explains why even when one of those factors is not ideal there are often solutions that still make solar work well for that home.
The truth is most roofs are better candidates than homeowners assume. The only way to know for sure is to have someone take a look.
Watch the video and if you want a straight honest answer about your specific roof comment below or send us a message. Free assessment, no obligation, no pressure. We will tell you exactly what we see and whether solar makes sense for your home.

Cory came to Connected Energy Solar for two reasons that a lot of Pittsburgh area homeowners can relate to.
Rising electricity bills and an area that deals with scattered power outages.
Solar addressed both. The system keeps energy costs down during normal operation and with battery backup in place the home stays powered when the grid goes down.
Everything is working great and Cory would recommend us to anyone shopping around for a solar company.
That last part means a lot to us. We work hard to earn that kind of recommendation and we do not take it for granted.
If rising bills or unreliable power in your area has you thinking about solar, comment below or send us a message. We will put together a free assessment specific to your home and your situation. No obligation, no pressure, just honest information.

There is something really satisfying about watching a roof transform in a single day.
This is a recent installation from our crew right here in the Pittsburgh area. Racking goes up first, every mount secured properly and level before a single panel touches the roof. Then the panels go on. Then we power it up.
By the end of the day that homeowner went from paying whatever Duquesne Light decides to charge them to owning their own energy production. That shift does not get old no matter how many installs we do.

If you have been thinking about solar but keep putting it off, this one is worth reading.
There is a reason so many Pittsburgh area homeowners make the move to solar in spring rather than waiting until fall or the following year. It is not just about the environment or energy independence. It is about timing and money.
Summer is when your panels produce the most. Summer is when your Duquesne Light bill hits its highest point of the year. And summer is when installation schedules fill up fastest because everyone else is figuring this out at the same time.
Every month you wait is another month of paying full price to the utility company for energy a solar system would have already offset.
We put together this carousel breaking down the five most compelling reasons Pittsburgh homeowners are going solar right now before summer arrives. Swipe through and if the timing feels right for your home comment SUMMER below or send us a message.
Free assessment. No obligation. No pressure. Just honest information so you can make the right call for your home and your budget. ☀️

This is a situation more Pittsburgh homeowners are dealing with than you might think.
A solar company comes through, sells a system, collects the money, and then either goes bankrupt, becomes unresponsive, or disappears entirely. The homeowner is left with a malfunctioning system and no one to call.
That is exactly what happened to John. His previous solar company went bankrupt and orphaned his entire system. Connected Energy Solar came in, diagnosed the problem, replaced the inverter, got the monitoring app set up, and got his system back to full operation.
“Wish I had found them sooner.”
We hear that a lot from homeowners who came to us after a bad experience with another company. And it is honestly one of the biggest reasons we believe so strongly in being a local Pittsburgh company with real people who answer the phone and stand behind their work long after the installation is done.
If your solar system is underperforming, throwing errors, or the company that installed it has gone quiet on you, comment SERVICE below or send us a message. We will take a look and give you a straight honest answer about what it needs.
There are a lot of solar companies operating in the Pittsburgh area right now. Some of them are local. A lot of them are not.
In this video we talk about something that does not get discussed enough in this industry. What actually happens when you hire a locally owned company with local installers on the team.
We are not going anywhere. We live here. We work here. And every person on our installation team is from this area.
Watch the video and if anything resonates with you drop a comment below or send us a message. We would love the chance to show you what working with a genuinely local company actually feels like.

People always ask us what installation day actually looks like.
Well…this is it.
Racking goes up first. Every bracket is measured, leveled, and secured properly before a single panel touches the roof. Then the panels go on. Then the electrical connections are made. Then we power it up and hand the homeowner the keys to their own energy.
