Dr John McCarroll's family has decided it would like to create a named scholarship for a young equine focused vet attending Texas A and M

They want to set it up with Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation.

The goal is a named scholarship of $50,000. More info will be posted as details come out.

We have sad news to share, with Heavy Heart we need to tell you that we have lost a true legend, HF Somethin Hot aka Sam.
Sam has been part of Argent Farm Quarter Horse Stud Nz for the last 7 years. What he has done for the breeding industry deserves a book. Peter Flynn once described Sam as the greatest improver that he ever seen, he will drive movement into any mare, Pete knew a thing or two about horses.
I will write more when I able but I have to thank Nick White and Toby of Kaha Nui farm for the love and care they gave Sam. Every one wanted Sammy after we sold Argent Farm but to be fair, although he was a push over, he was also a stallion and he had always received experienced handling and Nick gave him the home of his horsey dreams.
There is more to this story but I have spoken to Kath and Tash and when I can I will thank others as well.
