Went whale watching today and found a mama humpback and her calf! The calf just played in the water while mama looked on.

Not the best photos, as these were taken near dusk, but we have a nest of Northern Flickers in a tree stump right off our deck. It’s cute to listen to the babies make a lot of noise as the parents fly back to the nest multiple times a day. ❤️

A couple of photos of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS from the on the night of October 15. These photos weren’t great, and I was hoping to try again, but it has been cloudy and rainy since.
It’s still amazing to have seen this once in a lifetime event! We’ve been so blessed recently to have been witness to some really interesting astronomical events lately, such as the comet and the northern lights here in northern New Mexico!
