First Step Learning Lab, LLC.

On August 11, 2022 First Step Learning Lab received notice that our building had been sold, and we had a certain amount of days to vacate. With a small amount of students I decided to move our students to my home for further assistance to help assist my families with parents approval…With the short notice, and as a mother I know what an inconvenience this could have been and wanted to do whatever I could to assist my families until our new home was done being renovated. Once we were notified that we were in a zone that businesses could not operate our parents were notified and our doors were closed temporarily until our new facility becomes available. We were at this location for 2 days. Still we are doing everything we can to assist our parents including private one-on-one tutoring, pick ups and drop offs, zoom classes, and so much more. Our new Facility will be ready and opened within 3 weeks if not sooner. I was issued a citation for zoning. I was never arrested. Charges were never pressed.

As you all may be aware of the news that happened during the hours of operation at our faculty this past Monday, when a child was accidentally left in a vehicle, (He is okay!) my heart breaks for that sweet child and his family. This has never happened before, and I am very remorseful. We have protocols in place for emergency situations. Moving forward we have implemented even more stringent pick up and drop off protocols and that employee is no longer with us…we are committed to the safety and security of our students and always will be…As the owner of First Step Learning Lab, a community leader, and a MOTHER I have always and will always do whatever I can to assist anyone in need. I will forever put a child’s safety before my own. We have made more changes to assure this never happens again. My heart is truly broken, and I am beyond devastated. I personally will be driving our company vehicle, and will continue to go above and beyond for our community.

Tuesday:
Breakfast-Cereal, fruit cup
Lunch-Chicken Strips, Mashed Potatoes, green beans

Wednesday:
Breakfast- Pancakes, eggs, sausage
Lunch- Mini Corndogs, Fries, fruit cup

Thursday:
Breakfast- Pancake Sausage on a stick, fruit cup
Lunch- Red Beans and rice, baked chicken, cornbread

Friday:
Breakfast- Donuts, fruit cup
Lunch- Pizza, Chips, orange slices
