Greenzona made this google doc to help anyone understand the basics of growing food here in Phoenix. Anywhere really. The next phase of planning for local food needs is to identify spaces for growing food and stocking seeds. Maybe we can add our private lots as a shared use sites for growing food? We have space for a few 40 sqft garden plots in central Phx. Anyone else?

A disturbing trend in local food news is targeting ethnic groceries for stocking unfamiliar food products. While this story is more about wildlife, even though it is said to be largely farm raised foods, I've always been afraid of this happening in the local food movement.
