“The Gorilla Gaiter”
Debuting September 2024
This gorilla and I had a special moment whilst capturing this photo and I am grateful to having been able to seize the time. Life is exhilarating and it’s worth the time to pause, capture a moment and live in it. I hope you enjoy my photo and grab yours this coming September *pounds chest*

“R-oak and Ready”
This red oak is also named the Shumard oak or Quercus Shumardii spotlighting in this weeks
During the fall, there is a stupendous red color due to the antocyanin’s that are more evident in the leaves of the tree as it prepares for winter months. In Phoenix, this transition is typically swift, but never ceases to amaze.

“Sissoo’s and Sunsets” is a unique to be able to spotlight this dalbergia sissoo tree species in a new light. Typically this tree has a volatile response from homeowners, arborists and urban foresters alike. I find that I like this tree for the right spot and dislike it for the wrong spot. “Right tree, right place,” arborists say. This nearly silhouetted image against a desert sunset sky is an atypical perspective, but one that I believe can open up our eyes to be able to appreciate even one of the most obnoxious tree species in Phoenix.
